Alex Took This...

Week 1

Welcome to my new weekly feature: Alex or Dave Took This...

My brother just purchased a great camera. We're sitting here making fried chicken--which by that, I mean we're sitting here doing the NY Times crossword puzzle and talking--and the idea came to us that we need to publish Dave's awesome pictures. The camera is so good that it deserves public recognition.

Sometimes, the pictures will be taken by my nephew. He is 11 years old and he takes pretty great pictures, I have to say.

Imagine no possessions

This photo actually does have some good design elements. Kudos.

Did no one see the dragonfly? I think that it is the focal point, right? I know that is one of Laura's favorite things. Maybe he has the software to crop and enlarge it. That can be fu to do when taking digital pics.

Of course I see it... Why do you think it was the first picture I picked? :)

The dragonfly is on my shirt, too. That shirt is now my Lucky Shirt. Forever.

I figured that was why you put it out there, so I knew you saw it. Therefore, the reason was clear to me because I am getting to know you quite well. It was the other comments that prompted me to address this to everyone else. It made me smile when I saw the dragonfly and could picture in my mind your nephew getting down to the dragonfly's level to take the picture. What a thrill it must have been to him........ It just gives me great pleasure to think of it! AND makes me smile!

I like the table knocked down in the background is this the remnants of Satuday night's festivities?

Uhm... Maybe. ;)

And the half-dead lawn, and planters. See, you have to understand that have NO SHAME.

Hm. I thought it was a zipper on a windbreaker. Whatever. I still think the chairs are super-FANTASTICO. Because plastic chairs? Yes, please!

Hi Lotusblossom!!

I don't have any tattoos, but if I were to ever get one, it would most definitely be a dragonfly.

Do you have pics of your tatts? I'd LOVE to see them!!!
