A Better Place

There is little in this world that's cheesier than Rogers & Hammerstein lyrics. Well, Chicago lyrics are pretty cheesy too. But I was reminded of a song today and it spoke to my heart. And so I give you:

You'll Never Walk Alone from Carousel

When you walk through a storm
Keep your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.

At he end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

I love cheesy lyrics. Come on! Sometimes R & H are the best medicine!

I love the way Michael Crawford sings that song. **pondering** Actually, he's the only one I've heard sing it. Any other song from Carousel that I know I heard on the Barbra Streisand Broadway album (the first one - I think she did at least two).

Maybe it's cheesy, but it's a lovely song.
